Trip to Ranthambore-National Park

Ranthambore, the national park for animals… I have heard this name from Nitesh lot many times but was not much interested & can’t recite the reasons 4 the same. Munal asked me & I gave a tentative ans to him but then rethought on same & decided to join the tripJ. There were lot of reasons y I chose to visit it…I wanted to run away from few thingsK. Though the beginning was not so good…since it started with the end of relation (EOR)…but “show must go on” Rajkapoor said onceJ. I wanted to cherish the upcoming moments but my mind was in complete chaos…I was not ready to accept what I did still I wanted to be normal & I had to be on track for myself enough was enough.

We (Nitesh-the jungle boy, Saurabh-new bakra, Samir-play boy [boy who plays…dirty minds], Nisarg-the farewell boy, Munal- the creator of threads in mind & I- child with few desires:P) caught the Nizamuddin-Indore Intercity express to reach Sawai Madhopur @ 4:20 :D. Some one special was in the train so few of us were happy ;)…snacks, cold-drinks, popcorns, photo sessions & fun was flowing in the train between the 6 SEs. I overcame the EOR but could not threw it away completely from my mind...I was still thinking what was my faultK. We all were hungry around 20:30 & so took some biryani in train & enjoyed it. We were discussing how to proceed in the train since we had the reservation till KOTA & finally decided that from KOTA general coach tickets will be taken & we changed the coach from sleeper to general with few chaos but that was a spicy “tadka” & we all enjoyed uncertainty in that time constraint. I learnt one thing in general coach that if some one is nice to you then it is not necessary that he is a fair person in treating people & I wouldn’t like to be like that even if I was offered a sitK. Samir was on call…unique feature of SAM :D but believe me all want to be in his shoes :D. We reached @SAWAI MADHOPUR @00:33 on 28th june. Again we were hungry so around 01:00 we took our dinner & tea as well &……rain started to fall & I was like…YEAH…but Nitesh was bit unhappy for logical reasons that it will affect SAFARIs L. We reached at TIGER SAFARI RESORT @ 02:00 finally after confusing ourselves for hotel selection & I took bath & u won’t believe…We started photo session @ 02:30 till …03:00. I knew that Nitesh would kill us if we would be late in early morning since the SAFARI timing was around 05:30 so we slept :D.

1st SAFARI started @ 06:00 & Nitesh was extremely excited…It was 1st time for few of us & I was happy with…chaos in mind…happy because of the JUNGLE. Route was not smooth but that’s what you expect in JUNGLE. It was new & nice for meJ. Suddenly we heard a call of MONKEY & we were on our toes to see TIGER but no success. We saw tiger’s foot print & photo session was going on……we heard the call of deer again but hard luckL. We returned back to the hotel & went for tea & snacks & then again slept for 2-3 hours. We decided to take our lunch @ HOTEL RAM AUR SHYAM.

We started the 2nd safari @ Route 5 since TIGER was seen there in early morning so possibilities were high but again no luck and we missed TIGER just by 5 Minutes.

We saw lots of new birds like… Graylag Goose, Woodpeckers, Indian Gray Hornbills, Common Kingfishers, Bee Eaters, Cuckoos, Parakeets, Asian Palm Swift, Owl, Nightjars, Pigeon, Dove, Crakes, Snipes, Sandpipers, Gulls, Terns, Great Crested Grebe, Eagles, Darters, Cormorants, Egrets, Herons, Bitterns, Flamingos, Ibis, Pelicans, Storks, Pittas, Shrikes, Treepies, Flycatchers, Munias, Bulbul...

The park is home to about 272 species of birds; identified so far. It's difficult to name all of them here & The Mammals like...Langur, Common Mongoose, Indian Gazelle or Chinkara, Sambar, Small Indian Mongoose, Small Indian Civet, Spotted Dear or Chital and the Tiger.

Some of the mammals such as Sambar, Chital, Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Chinkara, Porcupines, Jackals, Leopard, Jungle Cat and Marsh Crocodile are easy to spot in the Ranthambore National Park. The lakes and water holes inside the Ranthambore National Park offer the best opportunities for sighting the wild animals.

Famous for its wildlife population, especially tigers, the Ranthambore National Park are also rich in flora.

As the park has six manmade lakes and many perennial streams, there is a plenty of water available to support a variety of flora and fauna in the Ranthambore National Park. According to estimates, there are around 300 plant species in the Ranthambore National Park.

Returned back to Tiger safari resort & enjoyed the tea time…we purchased t-shirts having tiger @ front & back side :D & decided to eat DAL-BATI…

We planned for the Sunday and it was to visit the Ranthambhor fort 1st & then to go for safari & things were looking fine but still we were not happy since we had no luck with TIGER.

On Sunday morning, Nitesh was livid since we had no luck with TIGER & he was in a different zone…extremely unhappy…it was his 12th safari & with not much luck. We went for JUNGLE walk & we could sense the frustration…I was still in that chaos of relation.

Samir, Munal, Saurabh & I were involved in extreme photo session while Nitesh & Nisarg was busy in the bird watching.

We moved on towards the FORT & it was a sight to watch out…I love historical places but not with the symbols of hearts with arrow having names of Raj & Simaran of every village of India around. Natural beauty around the fort was eye opener…

On the way to hotel we met to lots of monkeys & played around them…hey …not to forget to mention that Munal was teased by the monkey ;-).

Then we went for the Sawai madhopur market darshan in horse cart & prepared ourselves for the final safari with lots of hope to see the TIGER-the ultimate beauty.

3rd safari started on 5th route for which munal tried his best to get it from the registration desk by moving in & out from the queue.

We saw crocodile & soon after we received news about the tiger & we reached at the place ASAP & finally all paid off…Nitesh was jumping…& all of us were extremely happy. Tiger, in Jungle is a different experience…Inexplicable…We heard a big roar from it & it was a bonus for us.

Trip was exciting…friends made it more real & funny…Samir & nisarg’s sleeping issues…Nitesh’s anger…Munal’s problem in thread communication was treat to watch…

Return journey was in waiting & that was also a unique one…Mindless Auto charges made the end more spicy…One uncle came & said…I will drop you @ CHL apolo for just 200 Rs & Saurabh shot @ him…y don’t u take 300 :D…we were laughing like anything…Pic count was above 2000…Everyone was satisfied. I was fine with the natural beauty of JUNGLE & TIGER…Still chaos was going on…Just few months more…Noooooooooooo…Picture khatam ho gai DOST…today was the end…All hopes ended…things have broken…its all over…There is a mystery of chaos & its better if its remain a mystery.
